I receive medication for hypertension. At my last yearly review, it took 5 visits to the health centre before I was able to obtain a repeat prescription for the medication. I had previously been obtaining repeats by ordering online - the system was changed without informing me and I can no longer use this with visiting the centre and re-registering. I need repeat medication and have endeavoured to contact by telephone multiple times for 3 days with no success (this is the norm for the practice). Since the coronavirus , the centre has resorted to using a hatch for communication with patients and even that has now ceased. I am now left with several days of medication left and no way of contacting the practice and obtain a new prescription. I poor appointments system for qquite some time which has now become completely unusable.

I can't thank Dr.Jones enough for his caring Way he helped me greatly when I was experiencing Problems with the company I work for regarding Self isolation he was willing to speak to them Regarding self isolation but unsurprisingly they Didn't want to talk to him yesterday. He went to the trouble of ringing me today to see how things were he's a really caring and wonderful Doctor and is a credit to Dr.Powell's practise And to fforestfach medical centre. Thanks once again.

I have been a patient for as long as i can remember , back to lewis ,lloyd and richards , trying to get an appointment is frustrating , a few years ago tried to get an appointment told 4 weeks waiting list , went there recently and you have to phone between 8.30 and 10am , so i went up there pointless trying to phone , only to be told appointments full up , so can i make an appointment for the next couple of days , only to be told we dont do that , so i guess you have to go there every day between 8.30 and 10am and hope they can see you , guess it keeps waiting times down .

They make it so hard to get an appointment. If you work shifts like me it's a nightmare. I can't ring on days as I'm in work, I can't ring on nights as I'm in bed at 8.30 in the morning. I've tried ringing at 10.30 after a couple hours of sleep only to be told all the places have gone and I should really try at 8.30. Only time I can really ring from 8.30 is on a rest day which don't fall on weekends. The last 3 days in a row I have tried to get a telephone consultation only to be told after 30 min on the phone that all the places have gone. I'm on medication for high blood pressure and it's no wonder with a service like thi.

if you can get through on the phone you can get an appointment on the day - useless for people working who can't be attached to a phone for 30 mins at 9am! Often had the phone put down on me repeat prescriptions are usually incorrect or gone missing. with Dr Powell practice - gps are great though, as long as you can see/speak to one. Computer says no!
